You can use simple brute force by telling the tool about character-set or you can use directory base brute force .

In this blog we will see how we can do directory base brute force.

Hurry!!!!! we got the password.

Lets break down the command we use:

  • -u : for unzip the ziped file when we the password found.
  • -D : for specify we are going for directory brute force.
  • -P : for specify our password file.
  • -v : for specify verbose.

You can use simple brute force for cracking but its time consuming. I suggest you for directory based brute forcing, there are lots for good password list available there like SecLists, RockYou and other or you can use your own password lists.
